Undefeated colt Smart Missile will headline another set of star-studded barrier trials as the carnival build up continues at Randwick on Friday.
The Anthony Cummings-trained colt will step out in heat 11 over 740m in his first public appearance since being scratched at the barrier prior to the Golden Slipper.
He will be just one of a number of carnival hopefuls in action along with Caulfield Cup winner Descarado who is returning after a mixed autumn in which his best result was a second to Zavite in the Ranvet Stakes.
He will line up against five Gai Waterhouse-trained stablemates in the opening 1200m heat, including Herculian Prince and Light Brigade.
Group One winners All Silent and Mirjulisa Lass are also due to trial along with the likes of More Strawberries, Jersey Lily, Fast Clip and Golden Slipper placegetter Elite Falls.
Cummings has indicated Smart Missile is likely to resume in the Run To The Rose on August 27 ahead of a shot at the $1 million Golden Rose two weeks later.
